Im looking at a 2002 jetta 1.8 turbo to buy but have read alot of negitive feedback on that year.
Its a nice looking acr but dont want a lemon anybody know what to look for ,problems ?
oh yhea it has 49,000 miles on it
any sugestions would help
I have a 76 vw bus but have never had a newer vw

check the service records on it and car fax it. To be truthful, 2002 and after are better than any of the other 1.8t's. All the negative consumer reports and stuff you hear are crap, all that stuff favors aian cars...according to them, bmw's are shitty cars....its just like buying any other car, just look it over well and take your time deciding. good choice on another dub!
