so i recently purchased a 94 jetta. wen i went to start it it just wouldnt start, and i realized the fuel pump wuznt relaying on key up. so i checked the fus and it wuz blowen i put a new one in and it ran for like 5 min before i poped again, i put another one and it poped rite away. i checked all the wireing and there isnt a short any where. after doing all that i put a new fuse in and turned the key so it just just before it would start and i accidently hit the blinker and the fuel pump went whacko. and it poped the fuse. it does the same thing with the wind shield wiper. someone plz help me cuz i dont wanna have to spend 450 dollars on a fuel pump and have it b something simple and cheap.

sounds like a definite wiring problem.  Was there a sound system in there beofre you bought it??  Usually home installations are #1 for wiring problems.

told ya....You HAVE to re-run every wire that is fried.  My mustang did the same thing and caught fire underneath my middle console.  Scary as hell when you driving down the road and a fire happens!!  Anyway re-run all the fried wires or it will get worse.
