I have a dune buggy with a 74 beetle engine and i can get it to start and it sounds decent but the alternator isnt hooked up so it doesnt last for long, i dont know if its externally or internally regulated, i was wondering how do you wire them up and if its externally regulated what do i need and is there a way around it since im a little low on the funds right now, any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

I don't know what you mean by Not Hooked up.. it is enternally regulated. explain more please.

I think they mean, no wiring.
