this light turns on sporadically and flashes while i am driving - does anyone know what it might be from?
please, i need help - i bought the car used, so i don't have the owners manual.
any help is much appreciated.

If you have a diesel, that's a glow-plug light. They may need to be replaced.

i also have a check engine light, and when i went to get that checked out at auto zone, they gave me a code (P0380), and i checked the code in my 'haynes' manual, and it says 'Glow plug monitor circuit'.
does that mean i need to replace the glow plugs or what?

I'm not sure what needs replaced. Find a dealer in your area and give them a call with that code. They'll be able to give you a good idea at least.
