i want to get a MK4 for my 1998 jetta and i dont know if they will work and i kinda feel stupid for asking but please just say yes or know and dont make fun of me.

yes you can use the mk4 switchblade for an mk3, you need to get a mk3 blank and there u go... getting the buttons to work is a whole different story
you can prolly find one with the blank already inserted on ebay
