Just bought restored '73 beetle and can't get rid of the gasoline smell in the interior. Seems to be coming from the luggage compartment, but see no leaks there nor under the car. Have replaced the fuel filler hoses as recommended by someone on another forum. No change.
Any suggestions?

i had this problem with my 73 bug i had to replace the hoses to and from gas tank
