Hello all. I am new to the forum and have a quick question. I am looking at the used Jetta Wagon TDI market and am curious what is the easiest/best way to determine if a car is a 2005 model or 2005 1/2? I am sure to most this is a simple question, but I figured the quickest way to the answer would be found here.
Thanks in advance.

The date should be printed on a plate, im not certain but its usually in the door jam. look down low when you open the door at the face that shares a side with the end of the door.
good luck

Thanks. I'll check it out. I am not even sure they made a 2005.5 Jetta Wagon. I can't find anything on it. I am thinking that they only made 2005.5 Sedans. Any info that you know of? The only reason I am even asking is because I was recently looking at an aftermarket website (weathertech.com) and when I put in 2005 Jetta Wagon, it asked me to clarify if it was 05 or 05.5.
Again, Thanks !

oh i see and yeah i know what you mean, thats happened to me too, a lot these sites dont have the same info for the different years of car. Some of them still consider a MK4 as 99-2002 or 2003, instead of 2005 for the golf/gti
Though, i just checked it out on that site and it seems pretty good, like they know what theyre talkin about with models and all, it asked me how many doors i have for a cargo liner. pretty specific,
good luck
