Installing Speakers on 95 Golf

Hey, The genious that I am, I'm installing rear speakers in a 95 Golf, but they are component Infinity Kappa series speakers. Do I NEED to use the  component series box, or can I use the factory wiring harness to just slap the speakers in there? Will it make any difference in sound or quality of the speakers? Thanks
