when i run my car, the left side of my manifold is dead cold, while the right is normal, it seems this is comonly a problem with spark plugs so i replaced all those and the wires, but that didnt solve the problem. im not sure if the problem could be with the carborator, but i converted the generator to the alternator, and had to grind down a screw a little to make it fit, yet i did this with my last car and everything worked fine after. i also replaced the distributor with a c009, which i guess has a flat spot on it because the engine needs to idle higher with it, and my engine rattles a lot when i idle, so i also wonder if it could be anything along those lines causing the problem. it is a 71 super beetle that i am working on. thanks in advance

Have you lost acceleration?
