i have never seen a beetle on 35" tires. i want to know if it's possible. i know anything is possible but how major is the work going to be?

Probly alot of work. basicly you want a baja on 35 or a bug siting on 35 to kinda over fill the wheel wells? baja would be easyest but either way its probly major work.

i plan on making new fenders but i don't want to lift it. the back isn't a problem but the front is going to give me problems with steering. i could probably tube the frontend and get a fuelcell. basically just keep the hood to keep the look of the bug and gut the rest.

I've seen a lifted Beetle, and it looks great and funky. The appearance will turn out to be a sturdy ride. The owner modified the interior parts as well. However, he spent a lot of bread for the lift and rims. The only unusual stuff he used was a
Cadillac Seville spark plug wires, but it did match the Beetle. If you find it costly, you can alter your Beetle gradually. That can wait. And oh, post your car's photo please.
