Misfire? in cyc 3

I have a 2001 Jeta GLX 2.0 L run great. I had a bad plug wire on #5 the misfire was very noticable, but went away with a new wire. It soon threw a code again this time for #3. I bought a new wire andi t was fine for a while but threw the code again, a second new wire and 200 miles later it threw the code for # 3 et again. the plug were recently ( with 1st wire ) replaced ( bosch platuim). have run BG's injecter cleaner through it. By the by I cannot detect the misifire in the engine's performance.

Any way a bad O2 could be blamed on Cyc#3?

What dO I do next?

Also this model year (later production runs ) not this car had a recall on the coil pack. dealer tells me this car is not on that recall.
