replacing camshaft position sensor for an '02

I have an '02 Jetta GLS, automatic. I have already had to replace my cat, my o2 and my alternator (within a year of buying) luckily they were covered under warranty. Well, warranty is now up and I have to replace the camshaft postion sensor. Luckily my transmission is ok, which I initially thought was the culprit of my cars inability to get into gear and/or accelerate.

I have the part, bought it at cost, thanks to a good connection, but I can't find anyone to install it (thats not the dealership, and they would rape me on hourly). Noone wnats to touch a VW if they aren't VW certified, apparantly VW's are "touchy" as one guy told me.

Someone told me it might be something I can do myself since it is sold/assembled seperately from the distributor. Can anyone give me instructions or point me to an online guide that would help me?

Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks!
