Hey. I'm a new VW owner and relatively new to DIY maintenance.
I had to take my 1998 VW Jetta III GLS into the dealer to replace my coolant plant (long story).
He gave me a long long list of items he felt were secondary needs, but that needed to be done. Replacing the serpentine belt was on the top of his list.
I'm already familiar with what one is, so when I look in my Haynes manual, the only item in the relevant section is listen as V (Ribbed) Belt.
I was wondering if the V Belt is the same as a Serpentine.
