Trying to connect my radar detector.

My radar detector needs to be wired to a power source, there isn't a cigarette lighter adapter. I tried connecting it to the fuse box but I can not get it to turn on. Does anyone know a better way to do this or a place where I can tap into some wires with power that turn on and off with the ignition?

what i would do, look at your fuse map,and find something that has to be on when the car is running, like the fuel pump...it should be electric on your car..and wire it to that fuse..
