Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum and I am looking for a little advice. I have a 2000 vw jetta gl 2.0 and I'm sure you all know its slowwww. I also have a highly modified 01 civic thats putting out about 325hp. You may have seen it in 03 Nopis. Took first place in my class (white with blue and silver decals on the side). That has always been my toy car but now i'm getting rid of it and turing what once was my "winter beater" into my summer play toy. AKA my 00 Jetta. PROBLEM again is that it is sooo slow. I don't want to sell it b/c I have invested a bit in it already and the car is completely paid for (stereo system, full suspension, body kit all molded in, shaved doors ect.) I need some hp to go with its looks. I have conteplated engine swaps (1.8t, vr6, even audis s4) and also a turbo kit. Or just to built the motor. I'm not looking to go to a huge xtreme, but something over 250 would be a great start. I believe that it would be much smarter and cheaper to just build the motor or throw a turbo kit on there then to do an engine swap (bc then its way more than just that: tranny, drive shafts, new mounts for both engine tranny ect.). Any help would be great thank you! Sorry so long.......

I've also got a '00 jetta with a 2.0 and I've also looked for some thing to pep it up and all I could find was an aftermarket bolt on supercharger kit. I can't remember where I saw it though, but I do remember they had 2 versions. One for high altitudes and one for the rest of us. price ~2500..? Other than that you're pretty much left to an engine swap or serious engine work. Good luck.
