so i sadly got a flat on my 01 Golf GTi. this is the first flat i've gotten and when i bought the car it didn't have a manual. can anyone explain to me or have a pic of where to put the jack? the car is in my parking spot so it's no big hurry but i'd like to take care of it this weekend and i don't want to f anything up. it's the rear driver's tire btw. thanks!

You usually put the jack on the jack points, which are flat spots right behind the front tires, and in front of the back tires. Also, there's pinch welds you can jack it up on too.

yeah i guess i just want to make sure i know where the jack points are, i screwed up my grand prix a little (my first car) by putting the jack in the wrong place.
p.s. what are pinch welds?

look under the car....pinch welds would be the thick body lining along the frame. Most tire places will place their jacks there for R&I tires. As soon as you see it, you'll know what I'm talkiong about.
