Hi

I've been fortunate to inherit my mums 1968 Beetle.
Dad bought it in 1970 & drove it for some years before turning it over to Mum who's driven it for the last 30 years or so.
She's now not confident in driving & rather than see it leave the family i reluctantly took it.
Now I'm glad i did. It's great fun to drive, unlike modern cars that seem to drive themselves.
It is 40 years old & has been garaged most of it's life & so for it's age it's in great condition, albeit which a few carburettor issues at the moment.
It was repainted bright blue as a present for my mum some time in the mid 1980's (much to my dad's disgust).
The original colour was zenith blue which is a light grey/blue which i hope to restore it to some time in the future.
It currently resides in NE Melbourne Australia & it's nickname is Bobba.
Thats what we called it when we were kids. I guess thats the noise it makes.

Cheers
