Hi I have a Wolfsburg 2003 1.8t Jetta, and I broke my automatic shift knob, the button will not release the lock for me to move the shifter from Park to Drive, so I removed the Knob and I can see the release thingy in the middle of the shift stick cylinder, it is no longer connected to the knob.

Is it complicated to replace this with an aftermarket automatic shift knob, or will I have to have a dealer or Mechanic replace this?
