right now my car is stock. and i plan on starting to buy things for it beginning in 08. so i need one question answered i didnt know if i should start from the bottom when modding. intake, etc. but i was looking into either putting a new exhaust system or chipping it. what would be better to do first??? im looking more into the chip. 2002 gti 1.8t

u can chip your car right away if u wanted to. youve got a few choices in terms of these being Revo, APR, GIAC, etc. id recomend going with the one that is closest to you, with it being stock, youd be going stage 1, if you got an intake and turboback exhaust you can go straight to stage 2.

first things first, intake and exhaust, so then when they chip your car they can fine tune the chip to exactly what you have already done to your car. that way, you only have to send them your ECU once because not every chipset from every company can simply be reflashed on the computer. so, do your modifications to the physical side first then work on chipping it. plus, you should look into lowering it if it isnt because that in itself will make you love your car so much more. 4x4 aint no good haha. good luck
