Merry Christmas everyone!

I have just purchased my first Jetta, a 2003 GLS 1.8t. It has 65,000 kms on it. I love the power of the 1.8t engine. I have bought the additional 4 years warranty on it on top of the 2 year CPO warranty. I have read on various posts here that Jettas are reliable especially when meticulously looked after which I am known for. This is my third VW as I've owned a 2001 Golf and 2000 New Beetle previously with minimal to no problems. I get a little leary about seeing some people put these cars down with all the problems, but The reason I bought this one was a friend of mine has a 2000 GLS and loves it too. I love the older style body as well.

I do quite abit of winter driving and was wondering if anyone could suggest a good set of winter blades I could put on. The car still has its origional "thin" blades on it. I have new pirelli winter tires and rims on it now. Also, I had the dealership install the rust control inhibitor module. Has anyone had any positive experiences with this? Should I still undercoat the car as well?

Any info would be appreciated

Thanks!

If you undercoat the car, be sure you clean the under
side carefully. Otherwise you will be trapping all kinds of
contaminates that are allready on the car. that could
cause the rust out thing a lot quicker.
