I am selling my Thule bike rack system that is universal to almost any vehicle but the fit kit included worked for our 1999 New Jetta IV...the new body style Jetta. I think it does work for the Golf but I am not sure. It is important that you verify the system works for your vehicle because this sale will be final. However even if you don't have a VW this rack will still work great for you because you will only need to get a different fit kit to make it work. Thus I have added the following in bold to be more flexible.

Thule ski components can be attached to this system as well.

If you are only interested in the system without the fit kit and you plan on buying that separate to attach to your vehicle, I will take off $25 and I will keep the fit kit.I only used this system for 2 summers and took it off during the winter months. Besides normal impressions in the load bars from the V2 racks and Aero feet and normal wear this system looks practically new. This system comes with 2 of the V2 fork mount bike racks. I bought these because they are more versatile and fit suspension forks as seen on mountain bikes. The load bars are 50 inches and this system also comes with a sweet looking fairing. To top it off, everything is lockable which includes the fork mount bike rack, and the rack as a whole to your vehicle...I have all the keys. Please see below for Thule's suggested retail (before taxes and shipping). This could be a great deal for someone You could save $200-$300 buying this system.
