hello all, I have a 03 jetta with the stock head unit but I am having an unusual problem. Almost every time I start my car the head unit display just has the word check displayed and I cant use the cd player, the tape deck or listen to the radio. nothing. last week upon starting the car it said CODE 1497. now it is just back to displaying the word check and every now and then (rarely) everything works. Has anyone had anything similar happen? Im trying to avoid the dealer so any suggestions are welcome.
