I dont have a passat but i have a jetta 1.8t and i got the forge motorsports silicone intake hose and their spliter valve and i just straped a k&n to my maf and although the install was a bitch i am very pleased with the results. less boost fade at higher rpms and the turbo spools quicker. thats the way i went and now i got 14psi all the way to redline

I know AEM is pretty good.  All depends on what you're paying.

Skip any "splitter valve'' or hybrid valve as its properly termed, 1.8t were designed to run diverter valves only. Unless you have software making up for the lost metered air that your blowing into the atmosphere you are loosing power and running rich plus the turbo spool isnt being properly maintained, boooo on hybrid valves, just say no...
