If you have the new one, take it out of the box and look for the piece that looks the same but maybe different colors. If you have the 2.0 non turbo engine, you need to remove the skid plate under the car to get to the oil filter. To remove the skid plate you will need a torx bit. Hopefully this helps. Remember only hand tight when you install the oil filter!
