I would like some insight on how to "up" the power on my 1998 jetta GL  2 Litre...
i'm aware of the VR6 alternative, but it's expensive... Are there other more affortable ways to up the horse power and torque? I have 200 000 km...

I would apreciate any insight on the matter since my knowledge on the subject is limited...

thanks

the 2.0 is definatly a slow motor stock but you can crank enough power with out a motor swap or forced induction to smoke hondas with rice cans (more then you can now). i had a 96 gti with the 2.0 and got a full exhaust an intake, lightweight pullys and clutch with lightweight flywheel, it wasnt as fast as the 1.8t i have now but it was a good hp increase. I miss my 2.0 gti now :(

get full insurance coverage and run it into a building. Collect said ins moneys and get a new rider. Works for me but your insurance company might be upset haha
