if you want more bang for your buck i would recomend the bahn brenner supercharger, it has more parts to upgrade it un like the neuspeed compresser. my buddy has the bahn brenner compresser on his golf and its just as fast as my 1.8t

Thanks i will look that up! So i guess no turbo HUH?  Superchargers usually generate more HP, but are harder on the motor. Oh well.

Why do you say they are harder on the motor?  What facts prove this?  I've seen superchargers outlast turbos, the only thing supers don't have a boost controller, they are steady boost.  Plus no lag...

That is what i was refering to. The turbines are constant wich usually generates more wear and tear. Plus with a turbo it can create a vacuum, pulling as much as pushing wich decreases the work load. I guess I am just a turbo fan, over a supercharger, so maybe a little biased. ;]

well the supercharger is jsut belt driven so it uses the motors momentum to force-feed air, instead of the turbo burning and spooling exhaust gases.  I dunno I'm iethr way on this one.  I've always built muscle cars with superchargers.

i would think a supercharger would almost be less wear on an engine, because its a constant form of boost its not like a turbo where you have just the engines power then all the sudden its gettng slamed with boost, you know what i mean.

I'm turboing mine just so I can get around 300-400HP right away instead of buying upgrade kits.  I would go supercharged if they weren't $3750 for stage 1 that only adds another 100HP, kinda dumb so I'll go turbo.

That is what i was thinking. They are both 2500 dollars, so i am going with a stage one turbo, then 800 dollars for the stage two intercooler.  Thanks for your help.
