hey i just bought everything i need to install a oil pressure gauge, but i have one problem. Could anyone tell me where the best spot to splice in my "12 volt, only on when ignition is on" you know what i mean :D. The instructions say to hook it up to the ignition switch, but i would rather not be rooting all around my dash... what would be the easiest spot to splice this? thanx... oh and would it be bad to just hook it straight up to the battery??? i will be putting a fuse on it, and im assuming it wont draw enough power to kill the battery will it? any help would be awesome thanx!

don't hook it up to the battery because it will never turn off (dont ask how i know) what i did when i put my boost gauge in was find a fuse for like the radio or something that only comes on when you start the car then, you can buy (i dont know what there called) but they are little brass wire ends that are super thin and you can squezze them in with the fuse and thats a good way to get power to the gauge without tearing the dash apart.
