Hey Jrailer, i've gone from bad to worse. Before the mechanic started the timing belt he wanted to check the codes for himself, so he plugged his scanner to the car. I was right there beside him. I noticed that the scanner started to smoke. I yelled for him to stop and he unplugged his scanner. I asked him why it smoked, he did not know. So he started to work on the timming belt. I got him to install a new timming belt and water pump, and it took him 4 hours to complete this job. He told me that the engine light might not turn off on the way home. I told him that if it didnt go off, that I would plug in my scanner and reset the codes. He said to do that. When I plugged in my scanner, I got a message saying "LINK ERROR." It never did this before. I called him back and he could't believe it. I gave him HELL. So I will take it back to resolve this problem. Any advice jrailer on this matter? *I hope its NOT the computer*
