I have a 96 vw jetta. Bought it from a Ford dealer. Wanted to put a new radio in and after disconnecting the old radio (didn't get a new one yet) about 4 days later it wouldnt start. Took it to a vw dealer and they said because i removed the radio "the car thought it was stolen." I have now put the radio back in and got the security code from vw over the phone. (the dealer wouldnt give it to me without a charge because i bought the car from a ford dealer, not them) I punch in the code as told and when I try to enter it the radio just shuts off. What buttons do I need to hit to enter the code correctly??? The real pain of it is that it will only let you try twice in an hour so it seems to be taking forever to get this resolved.
