Alright i have a 96 golf 5-Speed, i love the car, its fun as hell to drive comming from a honda civic. The problem i have with it, is that i left the dome lights on and came back 3 day's later, the battery was dead :-(

Tried to jump it:
i had power the lights came on, and the dashlights were on
dident turn over,

Tried to push start:
no luck, might not have been going fast enough.
down slight hill i pop'ed it in to second and turned over but dident respond
when i gave it gas :-(

Also:
Odd thing about it, the hazzard lights are on and they dont go off :-/

Any help would be appriciated, have class in a few hour's lol :-(

might just be a relay check those out first

it takes awhile for the car to get charged...plus you have to make sure that you have good connections on the cables. If you hook something up wrong, then you will fry something and have symptoms like what you describe. Did everything turn out ok??
