I have always been very interested in the classic vw beetles but this is the first time I am researching them to find out which years are the best. I feel that the best years for me to get are from 1966 - 1970 because those years had the semiautomatic transmission but I’m not sure. Maby I’m wrong but hey that’s why I’m asking so if anyone could help me out that would be great. I guess I’m just looking to find the best year for me. Thanks Bman

you dont want an autostick
verry low power
clutch diaphrams hard to find (i still have a dozen or two)
my favorite bugs are 63 and earlyer
i had a 63 with a rag top sunroof on it years ago
