so i have an 03 1.8t and I am wondering if anyone has tried to put a manual boost controler on, i would just go ahead and do it but the whole throwing off the ecu issue is something i want to avoid i figured i would just ask. Will this work with out throwing off the ecu? and if it does work what hose/hoses do i hook it up to? any tips are appreciated.

Where did you hear it would throw of the ECU??  Well if it does it would give you a reason to re-map it with the GIAC software..lol

yea why not, mine was $300 for the software.  so after you put the gauge in, then get the software upgrade.

Your playing with fire upping the boost on a non chipped or flashed engine. Turn the boost up equals lean condition that the ecu cant compensate for = boom bye bye pistons, or you will always be hitting limp mode. No one likes to be limp right? Do it right, start safe with chipping then more fuel then more boost!
