Hello Everyone!

I am interested in buying a new 2008 Jetta, the 'S' trim with the 2.5 L 5 cyl inline automatic.

Can anyone suggest what I can / should offer the dealer if I'm willing to pay cash? One dealer says his best deal 'out the door' is around $19,643 but somehow it doesn't seem like a great (?) offer. I just don't want to get taken, but I don't know whether his figure is fair.

I dunno like 19,500 sounds reasonable. Just gotta look up the MSRP online, and watch for deals...sometimes VW does deals for like 17,000.
