i was thinking about a cold air intake for my 1.8t because a freind of mine sed he thinks iwould save gas along with freeing up some ponys, but after siting on it for awile i thought even though im geting fresh air with the intake, the tubo would just heat it back up agen. so my questions are .....

will a cold air kit save gas?
and will it make a difference with out a inter cooler?

Dunno bout the gas, but the cool air would def be better than what you have.  Why don't you get an intercooler, they sell the kits and they aren't that much.
