HELP, HElP, HELP!! I have 1998 Golf GL 2.0 . I bought this car alsmost a year ago, and had no problems with it. The in the fall when the weather got wet, the car started acting up. I replaced the Rotor Cap, and Rotor, and the car got better for a while. Then whenever it was wet outside, the car would not run. After drying out, the car would run great. Wet again, no go. Then it did something really weird. I was driving the car on December, No snow, but really cold, and the car started stalling out and lost all electrical. The gauges on my dash all turned off, and the trip meter on the odomoter reset itself. Ever since then, the car idles fine, but when you get the rpm's up to about 3000, the car misfires and runs really crappy. The Error Codes on the Check Engine Light says the same thing each time, random multiple cylinder misfire. So I thought it was the ignition coil, changed it. Nothing. Then new Ignition Wires, Nothing. I even put in a new Mass Air Flow Sensor, Nothing. I am at my wits end now. I really like this car, but If I can't get this thing running, I will need to get rid of it. If anyone hase any help/suggetions, they would be greatly appreciated. Chris

usually it would be a coil pack, but since you have cap/rotor, have you checked it out recently, maybe it's getting moisture in there somehow? You look up in the book what the error codes mean and how to fix them, Autozone usually has them, or check ALL-DATA.
