Hi my wife and I just bought our first volkswagon today and pick it up next week..it is a black 1997 golf k2..gasoline 5 spd 4 dr hatch....The purpose is to have something great on gas and not an a american 4 cylinder...it does have high milage.(270,00) will this haunt me or is this 1.8 engine a good one? anyone have any expeirience with these cars? )gas milege, maintenence, performance) ie/.
