We are going to buy a 68'' super beetle convertible and restore it. This is our first restore in a long time. Atleast 25 years ago my dad restored a 71 beetle, but we still need help!Any tips on things to make sure to check for when we are restoring or places where we can buy parts and fabric ect.Thanks

As far as getting parts are concerned, you can try Motorworks. I think they still mail out free catalogs. You might see if there are any local stores, mechanicsanyone who could get you in contact with the local bug gurus to get parts, advice. I started my resto at Motorworks, but later found a local bug parts supplier who bought from motorworks, saving me the shipping expense. Good luck and enjoy!
