Anyone know why my Rabbit 1.6 TD has a timing pully with no keyway, while the cam shaft end has a keyway slot? seems when it was put on that it was just tightened down enough so it wouldnt slip, that seems chancy as there is no valve clearance on this motor, maybe i just have always had the wrong pully...

It is shaped like it is from small to big i dont know the word to use for that. but after you time it and tighten the bolt there is alot of surface area because of the shape it should never move if torqued properly.

It is tapered so that it wont slip. My Rabbit Diesel has the same thing.
