I am ready to bring out my Remington 870 and put this Jetta out of it''s misery.
2000 VW Jetta 1.8T Wolfsburg Edition, 5 speed.
Here''s the problem.  Starting off cold, then engine purrs, but once the engine gets warmed up, stepping on the accelorator causes the engine to skip, breakdown, idles rough, and has no power.   I have replaced 2 coils, rebuilt the turbo, cleaned the plugs, tested the fuel pump and fuel preasure and it seems to be OK.  What is left?  Fuel sensor, air sensor????? Help!!! Thank you to anyone who replies.

The other two coilpacks should have been replaced at the same time, forget about STI or Bremi coils get yourself some nice Hitachi E Coils

I still say its the other two coilpacks, have you done the easy to do test yet? Unplug one at a time and see if anything changes. This test isnt accurate though. I had a load issue with my coil packs, I only had problems while under load not at idle, get two more new ones...
