I just bought a 2000 Jetta, but the radio will not power on. I have been unable to figure out what the problem is. I checked the fuses in the panel by the door and found no issues. Is there another fuse box under the hood? If anyone has any advice on how to make the radio power on or where I might look to find out if something is wrong, it would be appreciated. Thanks!

it may need to be unlocked or coded. If it isnt the one that came with the car this may be the case, find someone with a vag com or see your vw dealer for help...

It appears to be the one that came with the car. I''ve seen alot of posts on other sites about unlocking the radio, but the problem is that I can''t even get it to turn on. With out being able to turn it on, I can''t put a code in. Also, the lights for the air controls under the radio do not work. I''m assuming the two are related, but have been unable to figure out the problem.
