Hi guys new to VW cars and want to ask feedback on this before I consider purchasing this. 93'' turbo Diesel 1.9L, 5speed aprox 286,000Km going tonight for a test drive and a look at the car. Are these an OK car ? I''m told by the seller the timing belt was replaced about 40,000km ago so I know that will need to be done soon. anything I should look out for ? it has power everything ...windows, doors, sun roof price is 1,450.00CDN

find out the age of the turbo, new units can be from 500-800 buxs. Look at the cv joint boots if they are torn that another 300-500 for parts and labor. Check for leaks. A car that old could have many issues not worth your 1450.
