Hi everyone,
We got a big rain yesterday in Chicago, and to my surprise in my 02 passat wagon as well. There was about an inch of water on the drivers side floor but none on the seats or passenger side floor. My wife was going to go to a car wash to vacuum up the water (we'd assumed that the car door was not shut completely and thought that was the cause) when she turned the steering wheel water started gushing out behind the dash in the area of the brake petal. The shop, Autobarn of Evanston, removed the seat and is letting the floor and steering column dry out over the weekend. Has anyone had a similar experience? We are still under 50000 miles so we are still covered. Any thoughts on what the problem could be? Thanks Cliff
