I just replaced my friend''s front O2 sensor because it was giving a lean mixture code. It was fine for a couple of days and now he has code P0420, cat. efficiency below threshold. Since the front sensor doesn''t meter that, why all of the sudden is the rear one sending that code? Should I assume he needs a new cat.?
