got the actual cold air on already, the XAS by ECS Tuning. But i don''t know where and how to put the breather on...

What year and engine do you have?  If it''s a full cold air and not a short ram and an MKIV 2.0 you jack it up and put it on between the bumper and the wheel well where the bottom of the pipe leads to.  I don''t know about the VR6 or 1.8.

and idk if ur misunderstanding, but i''m talking about the mini filter, where does that go?

That''s for a secondary air injection pump.  If your like me you don''t have one.

then why was i sent one? i ordered a CAI for the exact car that i have lol.

No it goes on the crankcase breather outlet usually on the valve cover somewhere, not sure on the 2.0 but im sure you can install it somewhere, and yes you do have one unlike previously stated, the crank has to breath on every engine...

No it is for the pipe that goes from the air box to part of the secondary air.  I have the same intake and no secondary air.

We have a pcv valve.

Yeah the 1.8t has a PCV too, and yes the 2.0 has a breather hose you can attach this to or just replace it, sure it doesnt have a SAI but non turbo cars have crank breathers too, the PCV is just for recycling blow by back into the intake, do your homework...

No hard feelings man, but go to ecstuning.com and pull up the intake installation instructions and see what the adapter and breather included in the intake kit are for.
