http://i36.tinypic.com/j0co4n.jpg circled in red, what would you call that part? I can''''t seem to think of a good name for it, and I need to search so I can replace it in my bug. The black housing area, not the vents. Any help is appreciated. thank you.

Looks like that part goes around the radio too right? I would call it the radio bezel or the dash console bezel or something like that, can anyone figure out a better one?

That is the center trim panel. It covers the radio, A/C and heater controls. It is removed by sliding the center trim extention panel forward (on the top of the dash) and lifting up to clear the clips. Then remove the two screws on the top of the trim panel. Lastly remove the lower two screws and lift the center trim panel out of the way after disconnecting the electrical connectors. This is all done after the radio has been removed; don''t forget the code or you won''t get the radio working after it is replaced.
