Hello,
I recently had an issue with my A/C at idling speeds. The A/C blew hot air at stop lights, stop signs, around town, but on the freeway was cold as could be. I took it into my mechanic and he replaced the main fan. It still did not fix the problem so he replaced the compressor due to a leak. And it still did not fix the problem. He now states that the system was flushed with the new compressor; however some metal pieces were not flushed out even though they tried. Now the condenser needs to be replaced due to these metal pieces. I have put a ton of money into this mechanic to fix this problem, does this sound like I am being taken to the cleaners? Thanks for your help and your opinions.

It''s my opinion you''ve been taken to the cleaners and hung up to dry.  It was his responsibility to flush the metal fragments for one thing and it sounds to me from the symptoms that you were just a little low on freon.
