Hi!

Now that i found this forum it would be nice to get some ting i've been trying to figure out since i got the car. Oct 05, so not that long, but long enough. I cant find anything
in the manual that describes it.

What function does the thing/flip/thing above the rear mid mirror inside do in the golf4? You can flip it down, but its not that large/wide so i cannot see what its supposed
to do. Perhaps you can stick the toll-auto-pass subscription on it? Its like a tiny tiny sun-screen or something.

it might be for your sun glasses (if there is a little carage thing in it) or is is for your garage opener (stick it up in there and then it is right there hiden for you)

Hi!

No i dont think so. This is very plain, nothing written on it, no handle. Its not extra gear for the car, seems its in there from the factory and that would also mean if the factory wouldnt think of the garage-opener-needs they would probably not think of any toll-auto-pass either. I would take a picture of it, but i have no cam at the moment.

Anyways, I looked at it again after posting and I now have a new theory i wanna test:

mirror|flip|3 lights. When the flip is "disabled" the lights can hit the mirror. If the flip is down/enabled the light does not hit the mirror at all, i believe. Atleast it looked like it
didnt hit it. Mirror had no lights in it from any of the from reading lights (one for the driver, one for the front passanger and one for the middle) Anyways, I guess it could be some kind of light-mirror-shield or something?
