Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has one of the urethane or abs plastic front lips on their car?
here is a link to one on ebay

<http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-04-VW-Golf-4-MKIV-Front-Bumper-Lip-Spoiler-BodyKit_W0QQitemZ8062964863QQcategoryZ36475QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem>

I was thinking about getting an entire body kit later on but Im having second thoughts since my next step is to lower the car. I think the subtle lip might be what im looking for but cant find a picture of one on a 99-05. Does anyone have this on their car or have a picture of one with it? Also would I have to drill new holes in the bumper to install?
Thank you in advance for any input
-joel

Why lower it, just get he body kit, makes it look like it's lowered right? Id get the measurements together before I did anything, you dont wanna be shaving a body kit casue the cars too low to intall it. As far as drilling holes in the bumper, some do, some dont. Im not too sure on that one, sorry.

Well, I'd like to not only lower it but work with the suspension some, I want it stiffer than it is, and i feel some body roll even though its a tiny sports car. I also love the way these cars look low, minimizing wheel gap and all. As much as i would love to have a full body kit, Its only aesthetic, and purchasing it, plus paint would prove pricey. I dont mind the way the car looks stock but i think a front lip would improve the look of the front end (to some extent) at a much more acceptable price.
do you have a kit on yours bagel? i like seeing other GTIs so if you have any pics throw them up.

I don't have a GTI, I have a 2000 Jetta VR6. I have a front a body kit I haven't put on yet, from extremes. I'm also still looking for suspension, maybe JDM lowering springs, I dunno yet. Got the ADR rims which look dynamite, gun metal black, chrome machined lip. Ill try to get my digital working again, and post some.

Well i finally got the new lip put on, here are some pictures of it, though i dont suggest this particular one to anybody, it took a great deal of modification to fit. I had to cut it in several places and a small piece on the underside of the car unfortunately. Ive had rough times with cars in the past but this one was a major PITA. Fortunately it was cheap and i can always go back the original if necessary.
