Your problem is a vaccum leak at the valve cover. There is a pressure regulator that goes from the cover back into the throttle body. Check the little piece that sits in the valve cover, it's most likely cracked, you can just pull off the pressure regulator, which looks like a mushroom, do it carefully. See if there is a crack in the little rubber stopper. If it is cracked, you can buy a new one at a dealer. They are very cheap, it might also be the hose from the regulator to the throttle body which is a little more expensive. The rubber never lasts long and dont' both getting it used or you'll end up replacing it in a couple of months. Buy new. Be careful when you remove the stopper from the cover so you don't drop any broken pieces of rubber in there.

I would agree it sounds like a vacuum leakage issue -

when i hold my foot on the pedal

I assume brake pedal?? - if thats the case check the lines going to the brake booster and the check valve

I agree with Jeff, if you're your throttle is not responding, sounds like vacuum
