Hey all, just bought a 2006 Jetta 2.5L with 19k miles. Back in HS I drove 87 Jetta for 5 years, crashed it at 156k. Had a 1998 Mitsubishi Galant (very good car) and 2002 Mustang (sucked all the way around), after trying Japanese and American brands I couldn''''t wait to get back into a VW. When time for a new car came I didn''''t even look at any other car maker and went straight to a VW dealer, saw this Silver 2006 Jetta 2.5L fully loaded with leather and forgot about the new car, 30 min later she was mine.....all mine.

Hey. I have a 98 jetta GLS. Owned it for 3+ years. Recently became far more interested in mods. Recently replaced stock shocks and struts with some monroes, and put some 1.25 inch vogtland lowering springs. thats about all ive got as far as upgrades. im always open to suggestions, both cosmetic and performance. Hit me up, maybe ill steal some of your ideas.

Hi, Just inherited my dad''s 69 beetle after he passed away a month ago.  Looking to get it back on the road and do a total restoration.  It''s in pretty good shape and doesn''t seem to need a whole lot to get it show worthy.  I was more into corvettes but my dad never gave up on vw''s and I would like to continue in his legacy.  I''m hoping you guys would be able to help me and provide me with knowledge and advice as I go.

So far, I''ve been able to get it started after about 20 years of sitting.  Had to flush the fuel lines and play with the fuel pump a bit.  Cleaned out the carb, scratched up the points and the plugs a bit and fired it up.  Poured a bit of Kero in the engine after an oil change and ran her for about 10 min then changed her again.  Now it''s time for brakes, unfortunately this may be harder then actaully getting it running.  As of right now the pedal goes to the floor and I''m sure I''ll have to replace every rubber brake line.  Who knows what the wheel cyclinders, etc. are going to look like.

Thanks and look forward to working with you guys.
